About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning a dormitory-type building in the West Point area. As part of a mobile crew, the worker will also cover the Bullville location. The role focuses on quality assurance, maintaining overhead costs, and providing high customer service. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at a rate of $18.86 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience; previous cleaning experience is required.
• Strong organizational skills and accurate attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to function as part of a cohesive team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to walk between buildings, stand for several hours, move arms back and forth in a mopping motion, lift more than 20 pounds, push a shovel, climb stairs, work alongside coworkers within three feet, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care; knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers is a plus.
• Clean restrooms and windows.
• Remove trash and recyclables.
• Vacuum and dust.
• Possibly perform snow removal.
• Work as part of a team to fulfill contract requirements.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
