About The Position
This position is responsible for cleaning a dormitory-type building in the West Point area. Working as part of a mobile crew, the worker will also cover the Bullville location. Key priorities include quality assurance, maintaining overhead costs, and providing high customer service standards. The worker collaborates with a team to fulfill contract requirements and completes additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience; previous cleaning experience is required.
- Strong organizational skills and accurate attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to function as part of a cohesive team.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to walk between buildings and locations, stand for several hours, move arms back and forth in a mopping motion, lift more than 20 pounds, push a shovel, climb stairs, work alongside coworkers within three feet, and reach overhead.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers.
Responsibilities
- Perform floor care; knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers is a plus.
- Clean restrooms and windows.
- Remove trash and recyclables.
- Vacuum and dust.
- Perform possible snow removal.
- Work as part of a team to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
