On Call Janitorial Cleaner
About The Position
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties and help ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. The role supports the appearance and sanitation of the workplace and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. This is an on-call position with shifts that may vary. The listed pay rate is $22.50 per hour; a specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. The opportunity may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
