About The Position

Mercy Housing is seeking an organized, dependable Janitor/Custodian to join its maintenance staff. The role helps provide clean, affordable housing to community residents and works with maintenance staff to coordinate a cleaning schedule. This is an on-site position. Candidates with lived experience are encouraged to apply. Pay is $20.35–$22.35 per hour, depending on experience. Mercy Housing will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain the entry lobby, including windows, doors, floors, and carpets, at least daily and more often as needed to maintain an excellent entrance appearance.
Clean the laundry room, community room, conference room, and management offices daily.
Vacuum hallways daily.
Clean community bathrooms daily, and more often as needed, to maintain a sanitary environment.
Coordinate a cleaning schedule with maintenance staff.
