About The Position

GNC is hiring a full-time, hourly Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in its distribution center. The role supports a safe, hygienic, and efficient work environment for employees and visitors by performing routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. The posted schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds regularly and repetitively maneuver and handle products up to 50 pounds.
Close, distance, and color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work in conditions that may involve occasional wet or humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical-shock risks, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Ability to work in an environment with typically low to moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors in the warehouse, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, locker areas, and offices.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and common areas.
Empty trash bins, replace liners, dispose of waste properly, and recycle materials according to company guidelines.
Clean and restock restrooms with supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in break rooms, lunch areas, and other shared spaces.
Keep floors free of debris, dirt, and spills that could create hazards.
Clean windows, walls, and other areas requiring regular maintenance.
Report maintenance or repair needs, including damaged equipment, to the Director of Operations or an appropriate supervisor.
Handle and store cleaning supplies properly, including using chemicals and equipment safely.
Follow safety practices when operating janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.
Monitor cleaning-supply inventory and request replenishments as needed.
Keep cleaning-product storage areas organized and handle products properly.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, including spills and accidents.
