About The Position

Accord Federal Services, LLC is a veteran-owned government contracting firm located in Knoxville, TN. Our core area of business is facility management and maintenance of federal government properties. We have been in operation for over thirteen years and have existing contracts at locations across the country. This position is for the Danny L. Carr VA Outpatient Clinic located at 1124 Blanton Drive, Sevierville, TN 37862. The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, washrooms, and premises of the facility.

Requirements

MUST be able to pass a standard background check and drug screen to be cleared to work in a VA Medical Facility.
Functions well around patients, staff and visitors in a clinical setting.
Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Knowledge of safe disposal of chemicals.
Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
Very good physical condition and strength.

High school diploma is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition assigned areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, VA medical facility, or other government establishment.
Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors.
Removing chips, trash, and other refuse.
Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings.
Providing supplies and minor maintenance services.
Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
Sanitization cleaning of lavatories, all fixtures, floors, toilet seat & bowl (inside and out), mirrors, soap dispensers, trash cans.
Cleaning underside of sinks and pipes, faucets, paper towel holders, walls, doorknobs, ledges and light switches.
Refilling all dispensers.
Dust mopping and wet mopping floors with disinfectant/detergent.
Buffing floors per schedule.
