About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of property buildings, offices, common areas, grounds, and vacant units. Duties may expand based on business needs and may include light maintenance, minor repairs, and seasonal snow and ice removal. The role requires following the management dress code, using protective equipment when necessary, and complying with OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Experience in groundskeeping or janitorial work.
• Trustworthiness and dependability.
• Ability to perform light maintenance work.
• Ability to maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• A valid driver's license is required at sites with motorized vehicles.

• General knowledge of janitorial and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean hallways, glass doors and window areas, restrooms, and offices, and empty trash containers.
• Clean and prepare vacant units for new residents and perform minor repairs.
• Walk the grounds and pick up paper, trash, and other debris.
• Maintain the property office and common areas of property buildings.
• Follow the dress code established by management.
• Use protective equipment when necessary and follow safety procedures.
• Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Keep janitor closets clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
• Remove snow and ice during winter months and be available for on-call work if applicable.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
