About The Position

CCS Facility Services is seeking a part-time Janitor to keep the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Janitor cleans and maintains interior building areas, restrooms, and, when necessary, sidewalks; replenishes and tracks cleaning supplies; reports unsafe or maintenance-related conditions; and follows safety procedures. The role involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. The work environment is usually moderately noisy. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
Be dependable: follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility, keep commitments, complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan, and work long hours when necessary to reach goals.
Observe safety and security procedures, identify appropriate actions beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and in other required areas.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Move trash and recycling containers to the disposal area.
Clean trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain cleaning-supply inventory and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart showing areas cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precautionary rules.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
