About The Position

This is a part-time Janitor position in St. George. The role requires a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail, working under the supervision of the Project Manager or designee. The primary goal is to maintain 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks. The pay rate is $20.00/hour + $5.36/hour H&W. Candidates must be physically able to perform all duties, free of communicable diseases, and able to utilize various cleaning tools and chemicals. The position also requires adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations and following established procedures for handling chemicals. The role involves working under minimal supervision and requires passing a background check and drug testing.

Requirements

  • Must have 3 months of general experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • MUST be able to pass background check and drug testing.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrates good customer relationship skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
  • Qualified janitors/cleaners with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Emptying trash cans.
  • Cleaning surfaces.
  • Vacuuming & waxing floors.
  • Routine heavy cleaning.
  • Moving furniture as needed.
  • Document weekly and monthly tasks.
  • Adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
  • Report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair.
