About The Position

This is an on-call janitorial position where the employee will work under the supervision of the Project Manager or designee. The role requires maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within assigned tasks, with a target of 95% cleanliness. Candidates should possess a strong attention to detail and be qualified janitors/cleaners. The pay rate for this position is $20.00/hour + $5.36/hour H&W.

Requirements

3 months of general experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge & skills to perform the position.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass background check & drug testing.
Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and shall be free of communicable diseases.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the janitorial work.

Responsibilities

Follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
Utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
Report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair.
Perform basic cleaning tasks including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash cans, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, waxing floors, and routine heavy cleaning.
Move furniture as needed.
Document weekly and monthly tasks.
Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations.
Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
