About The Position

The Janitor performs housekeeping duties for Ditch Witch facilities, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, shelves, and stairs; collecting and disposing of trash; and moving and setting up furniture for company functions. The role may also involve serving food during breaks, delivering supplies and food, running errands in company vehicles, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change according to company needs. The position is listed as day shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday. The posting also describes a variable schedule ranging from 8–12 hours daily, overtime paid after 40 hours per week, and some scheduled Saturday work. Work may take place in offices, manufacturing plants, and outdoors, with variable temperatures, humidity, noise, and dirt. The job involves physical hazards and handling cleaning products, floor strippers, and floor wax.

Requirements

Have a current Vehicle Operators License.
Be able to achieve forklift certification.
Have appropriate basic mechanical skills.
Be able to handle items weighing up to 60 pounds, including pushing, pulling, and positioning items.
Have an exemplary work record, strong teamwork attitude, self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality and detail, ability and desire to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.
Be able to work on your feet, standing and walking, for up to 10 hours a day.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors.
Run errands in company vehicles.
Deliver supplies and food to designated areas.
Move furniture and other items, including tables, chairs, desks, file cabinets, and plants.

Stock shelves with supplies.
Clean restrooms, including floors, toilets, urinals, and walls.
Empty trash cans and dumpsters.
Drive carts.
Maintain quality and safety while being productive.
Work in other areas as needed.
Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks assigned according to company needs.
