About The Position

The Janitor will provide and maintain cleanliness of the building in assigned areas. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning and sanitizing restrooms. The Janitor will also respond to immediate clean-up requests from the Supervisor, report broken equipment, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Some experience in janitorial duties.
• Must be physically mobile in different settings and layouts.
• Must be able to perform all janitorial tasks on a daily basis.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more with or without an accommodation.
• Ability to follow instructions, including safety procedures and correct safety issues, if possible.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to obtain a Federal Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas and removes trash.
• Sweep and mop hard surfaces floors; vacuums carpeted areas.
• Cleans and sanitize all public restrooms; removes trash and restocks.
• Responds to any requests from Supervisor for immediate clean-up.
• Reports any broken or damaged equipment to Supervisor within 24 hrs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Attend all mandatory training sessions as assigned.
