About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Janitor / Facility Worker for a job site near Ville Platte, LA. This role is responsible for maintaining the premises and occasionally assisting skilled workers in performing their assigned duties. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman. Assigned duties are performed according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently. The schedule for this position is the Night Shift.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
General knowledge of cleaning
Must be able to successfully pass site course / exam
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition.
Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors.
Polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.
Using janitorial supplies.
Cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms.
Performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks.
Spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
