About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Janitor / Facility Worker for a job site near Ville Platte, LA. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman. The Janitor is expected to maintain the premises and occasionally assist skilled workers in performing their assigned duties. Assigned duties are according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently. The schedule for this position is Night Shift.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• General knowledge of cleaning
• Must be able to successfully pass site course / exam
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition
• Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment
• Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors
• Polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings
• Using janitorial supplies
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms
• Performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks
• Spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
• Occasionally assist skilled workers in performing their assigned duties
