About The Position

Turner Industries Group is seeking a Janitor for a position in Norco, Louisiana. The role assists skilled maintenance and construction workers in performing their assigned duties. It is a non-exempt position that reports to the Foreman. Duties are assigned according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• General knowledge of cleaning.
• Must pass a DISA background check and drug screen.
• TWIC card required.
• Must complete a post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation and sign acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain premises and keep office, industrial-building, rest, and working areas, as well as outer grounds, clean and orderly.
• Dust furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, and buff floors.
• Polish furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.
• Use janitorial supplies and clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Perform a variety of non-mechanical tasks and move between tasks as needed.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
• Comply with company and client job-site safety requirements.
