About The Position

Turner Industries Group is seeking a Janitor for a position in Norco, LA. The Janitor position assists skilled maintenance and construction workers in performing their assigned duties. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman. Assigned duties are performed according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• General knowledge of cleaning
• Must pass DISA background check and drug screen
• TWIC card required
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors.
• Polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.
• Using janitorial supplies.
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms.
• Performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks.
• Spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
