About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a part-time Janitor to keep the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role involves cleaning building interiors and common areas, maintaining restrooms and supplies, removing trash and recycling, and following safety procedures. The employee works Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and closes doors at the end of the night shift.

The role may involve occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrate dependability, follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Demonstrate safety and security awareness, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
• Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
• Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
• Disinfect commonly used items, including desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and wherever required.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Take trash and recycling containers to the disposal area.
• Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
• Maintain cleaning-supply inventory and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
• Maintain a cleaning chart showing areas cleaned and inspected.
• Follow safety and precaution rules.
• Close doors at the end of the night shift.
