About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a part-time Janitor in Maricopa, Arizona. The role is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The position involves cleaning building interiors and work areas, maintaining restrooms and supplies, emptying trash and recycling, and keeping cleaning supplies stocked. The employee must follow safety procedures, report unsafe or maintenance-related conditions, document cleaned and inspected areas, and close doors at the end of the night shift. The role may involve occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles or fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical shock risk, and vibration. Noise is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrates attendance and punctuality.
• Dependable: follows instructions and management direction, takes responsibility for actions, keeps commitments, and completes tasks on time or communicates an alternate plan.
• Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and general areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
• Keep furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings free of dust.
• Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
• Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies in restrooms and other required areas.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and take them to the disposal area.
• Clean trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas cleaned and inspected.
• Follow safety and precaution rules and use equipment and materials properly.
• Close doors at the end of the night shift.
