About The Position

The Janitor performs general cleaning duties in common areas and office spaces throughout a manufacturing facility, including bathrooms and windows. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, and emptying trash bins. The role also includes minor maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor leaks, and reporting major maintenance issues or damage to management. The Janitor follows safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, uses required personal protective equipment, operates machinery safely, and helps keep work areas and walkways free of hazards. The position requires receiving Hepatitis vaccinations in compliance with legal requirements and participating in safety training, drills, and ongoing safety improvements. The role also involves completing and prioritizing assignments using company policies and resources, collaborating and communicating with managers, coworkers, and business partners, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Associates are expected to adapt to change and feedback, follow company policies and ethical standards, and demonstrate Walmart’s values of respect, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement. This position is located at 20200 W 167th St, Olathe, Kansas. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Starting pay is $21.30 per hour; the listed hourly wage range is $20.80 to $26.00, with possible premiums in specified circumstances.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning in common areas and office spaces, including bathrooms and windows.
Complete daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, and emptying trash bins.
Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor leaks, and report major maintenance issues to management.
Inspect common areas for damage or repair needs and report issues to management team members.
Follow safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, use required PPE, and operate machinery and equipment safely.
Keep common areas and work areas clean and free of hazards, including wet floors and cluttered walkways.
Report hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents immediately.
Participate in safety training sessions and drills and contribute to improving safety protocols.
Complete and prioritize assignments using company policies, procedures, and available resources.
Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
Carry out assigned tasks and communicate progress and relevant information.
Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and adapt to change, challenges, and feedback.
Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards.
Receive Hepatitis vaccinations in compliance with legal requirements.
