About The Position

The Janitor maintains a clean and safe workplace to support the health and safety of associates. The role performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse areas, including dry, cooler, and freezer spaces, and may perform similar duties in office areas as assigned. Work must comply with company health and safety policies and guidelines. The position may involve handling cleaning chemicals according to hazardous-material safety sheets and operating a pallet jack to transport refuse or trash.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 6 months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience.
Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience in a warehouse environment.
Pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

Perform janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse areas, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas.
Perform similar cleaning duties in office areas as assigned.
Complete work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
Immediately report unsafe conditions or acts.
Perform assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, and related janitorial work.
Handle cleaning chemicals as directed in hazardous-material safety sheets.
Complete assigned Pure Safety training modules accurately and on time.
Operate a pallet jack to transport refuse or trash to appropriate receptacles when required.
Complete assignments accurately and on time.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
