About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Duties include vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing trash-can liners. The role also involves routine inspections and maintenance, special cleaning projects, minor adjustments and repairs, maintaining supply rooms, and working with other staff while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Requirements

• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and comply with policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and cleaning restrooms.
• Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities.
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with other staff.
• Maintain high safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned.
