About The Position

The Janitor/Maintenance role maintains a clean and safe environment on the dock within the service center. The position primarily focuses on the assigned dock area, but may include other areas as needed. Work includes cleaning, organizing and restocking supplies, removing debris that presents a hazard, and repairing non-motorized dock equipment. The role follows safety guidelines when operating dock equipment and handling materials.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean the service center in the assigned area, primarily the dock, and other areas when needed.
• Sweep, empty trash, organize dock and freight supplies, stack and restock supplies, and pick up and remove hazardous debris.
• Repair non-motorized dock equipment, such as deck bars and straps.
• Follow safety guidelines for operating dock equipment and handling materials used in daily work.
