About The Position

The 2nd Shift Jacket Operator performs a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection, and distribution of products or services for our customers. This role requires adherence to safety policies, quality standards (including ISO), and company work rules. The operator is responsible for maintaining a clean work area, demonstrating good work ethics, and following procedural instructions for each job. Key responsibilities include performing quality assurance checks, ensuring work meets specifications, and meeting production standards within a reasonable time. The position involves working in a fast-paced and potentially wet environment.

Requirements

  • Possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments, and responsibilities of the job.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
  • Ability to maintain clean work areas and follow good housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to follow work rules, work independently, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.
  • Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectfully with co-workers and other personnel.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Comply with work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas.
  • Display appropriate work ethics to provide a positive work environment.
  • Refer to work order or procedural instructions before commencing work.
  • Perform specified quality assurance checks for each job.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work in a wet environment.
  • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.
