Part Time - Ivy Arts for Kids Assistant
About The Position
Ivy Tech - Bloomington is seeking a part-time Ivy Arts for Kids Assistant to support youth arts camps. The assistant will help instructors with classroom activities and foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students in grades 1-5. This role is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with children, are dependable and professional, and have an interest in education, arts programming, or youth development. There may also be opportunities to assist with social media content and camp marketing. The assistant will work under the direction of Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) Staff and Faculty to ensure a safe and seamless experience for campers.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Comfortable working with students Ages 5-11
- Able to communicate well with parents and other adults
- Timely and professional

Responsibilities
- Help Ivy Arts for Kids camps (Grades 1-5) operate within the Protection of Minors policy guidelines and create a positive learning environment for students.
- Assist with classroom management during sign-in/sign-out processes before and after camp.
- Offer assistance as needed with instruction during camp.
- Help instructors with classroom prep/clean-up.
- Contribute to camp marketing efforts for the Center for Lifelong Learning’s social media feeds through content creation.
