About The Position

Valmet is seeking an Item Specialist with knowledge of Item Data Management and an analytical mindset to join its Global Supply Item Data Management team. The role contributes to the quote-to-delivery process by ensuring item data consistency and quality. It involves creating, maintaining, and controlling item data throughout its lifecycle in Valmet systems, working with business professionals to support efficient end-to-end processes, monitoring item data quality, and contributing to the development of related concepts and strategies. The position offers a challenging, fast-paced work environment that values innovation and development. Applicants must live in the United States and be authorized to work there; international relocation is not available. Any employment offer is contingent on a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business administration, or other relevant experience.
Fluency in English.
Customer-oriented team player with strong communication skills.
Analytical, improvement-driven, and self-motivated approach.
Ability to utilize technical documentation.
Experience with PDM/PLM and/or Infor LN, other engineering or ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience in or knowledge of master data management.
Knowledge of Valmet or technical products.
Willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and control item data throughout its lifecycle in Valmet systems in accordance with Item Data Management processes.
Collaborate with a network of business professionals to facilitate efficient end-to-end process cycle times.
Monitor item data quality and take corrective actions.
Contribute to the development of new item data-related concepts and strategies.
