About The Position

This is a part-time instructor pool position for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role involves teaching Italian at the community college level. Applicants must meet specific minimum qualifications related to their educational background in Italian language and literature, or possess a valid California Community College Credential in the discipline. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of diverse student backgrounds.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Italian, Italian Language & Literature, or Italian Literature (locally approved at MiraCosta College); OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Italian, Italian Language & Literature, or Italian Literature (locally approved at MiraCosta College) AND a Master’s degree in another language or linguistics; OR
• A valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area.
• The equivalent of the above qualifications.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
