About The Position

The IT & Workplace Operations Specialist will serve as the go-to partner for IT support and office operations at Qualified Health, reporting directly to the VP of People Operations. This is an early-career role, ideal for someone highly organized, hands-on, and energized by keeping the team's technology and workplace running smoothly day to day. The Specialist will manage day-to-day IT needs across the company, administer key systems like Rippling and Notion, and help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming Palo Alto office.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in IT support, office operations, or a related generalist role.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and comfort fielding IT and workplace requests from employees at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort learning and administering SaaS tools (e.g., Rippling, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace).
  • Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto 5 days/week, with early morning arrival to support front desk and office needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-growth startup or technology company.
  • Hands-on exposure to HRIS/IT platforms like Rippling, and workspace tools like Notion.
  • Familiarity with physical security or access control systems and employee badging.
  • Experience supporting network or conferencing infrastructure.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships (e.g., office supply, security, or facilities vendors).
  • Track record of building or improving internal IT/office processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT and application questions
  • Administer Rippling IT, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management for employee accounts and applications.
  • Own Notion administration, including workspace structure, permissions, and user access.
  • Manage the full laptop lifecycle: ordering, imaging/wiping, deployment, and retrieval.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of company hardware and equipment, including routine maintenance.
  • Roll out and support personal devices as needed.
  • Maintain the uptime and reliability of conferencing and meeting room technology.
  • Manage badging and access control for the Palo Alto office, including onboarding/offboarding of building access.
  • Own the maintenance and monitoring of the office security system.
  • Conduct regular access audits.
  • Provide front desk coverage.
  • Support desk and seating logistics.
  • Maintain swag inventory and fulfillment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our IT and office vendors
  • Manage our office snacks and supplies
