About The Position

The Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) enables the World Bank Group to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150+ locations. The ITS Digital Workplace department strives to deliver a friction-free digital workplace experience for WBG personnel. It includes delivery of modern productivity and collaboration solutions, provisioning and management of laptop and mobile devices, and audio visual and videoconferencing solutions to over 30,000 users. The department is also responsible for managing the central Helpdesk, onsite support, deployments, and sustained adoption. The IT Value Management Analyst will be a member of the ITSDW Front Office team and will assist the Department management team with value management analysis and decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, in the IT field: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex budget concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Able to take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results and has the personal organization to do so.
  • 2+ years of experience in budget management, financial analysis, or IT financial management.
  • Strong analytical skills, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated data quality discipline.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, execution, and monitoring of IT operational budgets, including administrative/run and cloud budgets
  • Track operational budget execution, forecasts, burn rates, and variances, and highlight risks, issues, and adjustments
  • Support annual planning, re-baselining, and funding cycles, including cloud consumption forecasting and run-cost estimates
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and budget data across systems and reports
  • Coordinate with delivery teams to reconcile spend, commitments, forecasts, and actuals
  • Assist in the preparation of funding requests, and decision materials, including cost and value inputs
  • Support development and maintenance of KPIs, dashboards, and periodic reporting related to spend, value, and performance
  • Analyze and flag misalignment between financial data, delivery performance/consumption
  • Support agile transformation for the department
  • Support IT investment analysis by linking cost, budget, and value data – including cloud and administrative cost components – to approved initiatives and portfolios
  • Identify and analyze cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
