IT Technology Manager
About The Position
Florida Power & Light Company is seeking an IT Technology Manager to establish technology strategy, develop business plans, and oversee the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that meet business needs. The role provides leadership and oversight for performance and results across one or more Information Technology disciplines, and is accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes. The manager provides organizational leadership, influence, vision, and direction to help achieve company goals, and works with IT leaders to align IT strategy with business strategy. The role oversees technology value streams, balancing portfolio costs and risks against business needs; supports innovation and business transformation; and ensures strong ongoing system and application performance in production. It also oversees processes and tools that automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps), develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team, drives technology roadmaps, manages third-party technical and outsourcing relationships, and ensures technology processes comply with applicable standards and company policies.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Eight years of experience in IT roles, including two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Five years of SharePoint design, installation, configuration, and administration experience.
- Two years of SQL experience.
- Two years of HTML experience.
- One year of experience with on-premise-to-cloud migration.
Responsibilities
- Establish technology strategy and develop business plans.

- Provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology disciplines.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.
- Provide leadership, influence, vision, and direction to contribute to company goals.
- Work with IT leaders to develop IT strategy aligned with business strategy.
- Oversee the technology value stream, considering portfolio costs and risks to meet business needs.
- Support and foster innovative technologies that enable business transformation.
- Ensure ongoing system and application performance in production environments.
- Oversee development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps).
- Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing and diverse team.
- Establish and drive technology roadmaps aligned with current and future business needs.
- Manage third-party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives.
- Ensure technology processes comply with applicable standards and company policies.
