About The Position

The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to Derby City Gaming for operating system requirements. This role involves setting up new hardware, installing and troubleshooting software, assisting with copier programming, and providing quality customer service to users. The technician will also educate users to reduce recurring issues, provide onsite support including weekend and night-shift work, administer server-based systems, and create/maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent internal and external guest service.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department.
• Valid Racing License

Nice To Haves

• Degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred

Responsibilities

• Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc.
• Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
• Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
• Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.
• Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
• Provides onsite support for the gaming facility, including weekend and night-shift work.
• Administers server-based systems across all departments.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation.
