About The Position

The DSC IT Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks including computer setup, application installation and configuration, and regular maintenance. This role provides technical support, completes help desk tickets, and documents job tasks. The technician will monitor for vulnerabilities, resolve incidents, and apply security protocols, patches, and updates. Key responsibilities include identifying the root cause of technical issues and developing effective solutions, providing and monitoring vendor remote access sessions, and maintaining documentation of all vendor support. Additionally, the role involves documenting and maintaining an accurate inventory of all hardware, identifying opportunities for equipment or software recommendations, and performing testing/research of new operating systems for network and software compatibility. The technician will also write detailed instructions for job tasks and projects, assist the team in supporting the network, and install/troubleshoot devices/cabling as directed. Compliance with the casino’s Internal Control policies and performing department tasks assigned by management are also required.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience working in IT Support, Systems Administration, or related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage).
  • Able to lift and carry equipment weighing more than 30 lbs.
  • Able to work shifts or be on call during some weekends, holidays and/or evenings as required.
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Strong communication skills: both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be 21 and obtain a Key Gaming License upon hire.
