About The Position

The IT Technician will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, people-centered IT experience by providing hands-on, on-site technical support to users at our Québec City office. Depending on the time of year, the role will be primarily focused on IT equipment logistics, then gradually shift toward local IT customer service. Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC or AEC) in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in logistics, handling, or equipment management.
  • Experience in local IT support (Level 1 and 2).
  • Comfortable in a field-based role combining customer service and physical work.
  • Strong customer focus, service mindset, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Rigour, autonomy, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in both French and English, as the role involves providing in‑person and written IT support, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, advising on best practices, and coordinating services with internal clients and external vendors on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the receiving, verification, storage, and organization of IT equipment using simple, safe, and efficient practices.
  • Maintain order, security, and accuracy in storage areas and equipment preparation zones.
  • Prepare, configure, and distribute IT equipment for users and IT service counters.
  • Perform physical movement of equipment (handling, carts, pallets) in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Supply IT service counters with equipment according to operational needs and peak periods.
  • Participate in the recovery, sorting, and recycling of obsolete IT equipment.
  • Collaborate with other Canada-wide sites for the transfer and physical management of IT equipment.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics, storage, and IT asset management processes.
  • Welcome users at the IT service counter and provide in-person support that is professional and focused on the employee experience.
  • Provide on-site IT support in the field, quickly adapting to user needs and operational priorities.
  • Respond to support requests related to workstations, computer accessories, mobile devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 IT diagnostics, ensure rigorous follow-up, and strive for efficient and sustainable resolution.
  • Install, configure, replace, and take ownership of workstations and IT equipment.
  • Support collaborative rooms and audiovisual equipment (screens, projection, sound).
  • Provide IT support during corporate events (setup, on-site assistance, dismantling).
  • Document interventions and keep asset and request information up to date in service management tools.
