About The Position

At PolyPeptide, we partner with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to support the development and manufacturing of peptide-based therapies. We are looking for an IT Technician to help strengthen the technology, processes, and IT services that support our business and GMP manufacturing operations. This role goes beyond traditional day-to-day technical support. You will have the opportunity to evaluate business needs, improve IT service delivery, coordinate technology initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and help ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and compliant. The IT Technician II supports the effectiveness and reliability of IT operations across PolyPeptide by analyzing service performance, coordinating technical initiatives, and identifying opportunities to improve how technology supports the business. You will work closely with employees, business leaders, Global IT, and external vendors to understand operational needs and translate them into practical technical solutions. You will also support system deployments, technology lifecycle management, root cause investigations, and IT governance activities. Because PolyPeptide operates in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, this role also plays an important part in maintaining data integrity, system reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance with applicable GxP and company requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of IT experience, preferably supporting a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or other regulated environment.
• Experience coordinating IT initiatives or implementing technology and process improvements is preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, or enterprise IT teams is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and administration.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and endpoint connectivity.
• Experience with help desk or IT service management ticketing systems.
• Experience with hardware imaging, endpoint deployment, and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, business continuity, and technology risk principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to look beyond the immediate issue and identify sustainable, long-term solutions.
• Strong customer service and business partnership mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IT service performance, recurring issues, and user needs to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend technical solutions that align with operational, security, and compliance objectives.
• Coordinate IT initiatives including system deployments, technology upgrades, lifecycle management, and service improvements.
• Serve as a key point of contact between business stakeholders, Global IT teams, and external technology vendors.
• Translate business and operational requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Prioritize technical work based on business impact, operational needs, risk, and organizational priorities.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, standards, documentation, and best practices supporting reliable and compliant operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technology issues and implement long-term corrective solutions.
• Assess technology and system risks and recommend strategies to support business continuity and system reliability.
• Participate in technology and vendor evaluations, solution selection, and implementation planning.
• Support Microsoft Windows environments, Office 365, Active Directory, networking, endpoints, and other business technologies.
• Support hardware deployment, imaging, remote troubleshooting, and technology lifecycle activities as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining appropriate documentation and supporting IT governance and compliance controls.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Laboratories, Engineering, and other departments to ensure technology effectively supports business and GMP operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across IT services and processes.
