Reporting to the Director, Solution Architecture and Software Engineering, the Team Lead supervises and coordinates the technical teams responsible for networks, servers, storage, data centers, telecommunications, VoIP services, and the operational implementation of certain cybersecurity solutions. The person in this role ensures the availability, resilience, performance, and evolution of critical infrastructure services that support the company's operations. This person is also responsible for planning and monitoring the annual roadmap for deployments, updates, upgrades, replacements, and maintenance activities affecting the infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity components under their responsibility. As a people manager, the Team Lead mobilizes their team, develops technical skills, and fosters a culture focused on rigor, accountability, collaboration, documentation, and continuous improvement. The incumbent works closely with other IT departments, cybersecurity teams, application teams, architecture managers, operational sectors, and technology suppliers and partners.

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma in computer science or a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in technological infrastructure, networking, or IT operations.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing, supervising, or coordinating a technical team.
  • Possess significant experience in managing networks, servers, storage, data centers, telecommunications, and VoIP services.
  • Master Cisco technologies and have solid knowledge of wired and wireless networks.
  • Have experience in planning upgrades, deployments, and technological life cycles.
  • Possess experience in managing suppliers, integrators, and technology partners.
  • Have implemented cybersecurity measures in infrastructure and network environments.
  • Experience in a distributed, transactional, or retail environment is a significant asset.
  • Relevant certifications, including Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, ITIL, or others, are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and mobilize the team responsible for infrastructure, networks, servers, storage, telecommunications, and VoIP.
  • Plan, distribute, and track the team's activities, priorities, and responsibilities.
  • Ensure professional development, coaching, and performance monitoring of employees.
  • Identify training needs and promote the development of technical skills, knowledge sharing, and succession planning.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the company's technological infrastructure.
  • Ensure the availability, stability, capacity, resilience, and performance of critical infrastructure services.
  • Coordinate preventive, corrective, and evolutionary maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain an annual roadmap for deployments, updates, upgrades, replacements, and technological renewals.
  • Plan maintenance and deployment schedules, taking into account critical periods of company operations.
  • Monitor technological life cycles, end-of-life equipment, obsolete versions, and obsolescence risks.
  • Supervise the management and evolution of network technologies, particularly Cisco environments.
  • Ensure the performance and availability of wired and wireless networks.
  • Supervise telecommunication services, VoIP, data centers, servers, storage, and related environments.
  • Coordinate the installation and evolution of structured cabling in accordance with established practices.
  • Within the scope of Cybersecurity, update and implement protection measures applicable to infrastructure and networks.
  • Participate in continuity, recovery, resilience, and incident response activities.
  • Coordinate technological changes, ensuring they are analyzed, documented, tested, and authorized before implementation.
  • Follow up on major incidents, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
  • Manage operational relationships with technology suppliers, integrators, and partners.
  • Monitor deliverables, deadlines, service levels, and supplier commitments.
  • Promote knowledge transfer from external suppliers to internal resources.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments and operational sectors to ensure alignment of priorities, projects, and technological roadmaps.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation of environments, procedures, inventories, and support plans.
  • Define and monitor service availability, performance, capacity, and quality indicators.
  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of operating and investment budgets related to infrastructure and external services.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
