About The Position

This role exists to ensure that the digital infrastructure at MacKay is tight, reliable, and useful for the people doing the work. The specialist will not only fix problems but also build systems that support how construction actually runs. The company is growing, upgrading systems, standardizing operations, and pushing into new markets, offering an opportunity to shape how things are built rather than just maintain existing systems.

Requirements

• Experience supporting business systems, networks, and users.
• Familiarity with Microsoft environments (365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
• Ability to move between technical systems and real-world field challenges.
• Takes ownership and fixes problems proactively.
• Comfortable working with people who expect things to work and have limited time.
• Enjoys building structure.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to ERP, estimating, or project software is a strong plus.
• Experience in construction, mining, or industrial environments is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Keep core systems running smoothly across estimating, accounting, project controls, and field operations.
• Eliminate friction for teams by making technology simple, reliable, and fast to use.
• Support and improve tools like Estimating, Project Management, Fleet Management, and ERP software.
• Troubleshoot real-world issues from office setups to jobsite connectivity so crews stay productive.
• Help implement, roll out, and optimize new systems as the company scales.
• Build structure around how devices, users, access, and data are managed.
• Work directly with leadership to ensure technology supports operational needs.
