About The Position

Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist is a hands-on member of the IT team responsible for technical support with the point-of-sale computer systems and other peripherals for all Turner’s Outdoorsman locations. This role involves diagnosing and resolving various Celerant and PC-related problems in a fast-paced environment while assisting the team with day-to-day operations. Turner's staff members are team players who strive for customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
  • 1-2 years experience with Celerant preferred or other retail software; proficient in MS Word Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond well at all levels
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn on the job
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment
  • Intermediate computer skills and understanding of hardware configurations
  • Highly organized and able to work with data confidentially.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the IT Director and IT Manager to ensure all systems are operating correctly.
  • Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and trouble tickets based on severity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot various PC-related problems ranging from minor software issues to major hardware malfunctions.
  • Maintain IT equipment asset tracking and fulfill store requests
  • Assist in training and the implementation of system improvement projects
  • Configure new equipment and add new users within Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Travel (up to 10%) to support new store openings, special events, and general business flow.
  • Perform non-essential tasks and projects as requested.
  • Able to attend training seminars, including some off-site
  • Perform other duties as assigned
