About The Position

YipitData is hiring an IT Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain integrations between internal systems and SaaS platforms, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, HRIS, and other business tools. The role develops automation and workflows for system provisioning, access management, and cross-platform data synchronization, using APIs, scripting, and automation tools to streamline operational processes. The engineer collaborates with Security, Infrastructure, and IT teams on identity, access, and security integrations; researches and implements integration solutions; and monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains integration reliability. The role also involves working with third-party vendors, documenting integration architecture and dependencies, and improving system architecture, automation, and operational efficiency across the company’s technology stack. This is a remote-friendly role that may be performed from anywhere in the United States, including NYC or another office hub. Remote work outside the NYC headquarters may be subject to New York State tax withholding. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working with SaaS platforms, integrations, or automation in a modern IT or engineering environment.
Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
Comfort building automation with Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
Experience with identity and access systems such as Okta or similar platforms.
Ability to solve technical problems by connecting systems and improving workflows.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technical needs.
Organization and ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously.
Ability to collaborate across IT, Security, and Engineering teams.
Ability to learn quickly and motivation to improve systems and processes.
Enjoyment of working in a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain integrations between internal systems and SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, HRIS, and other business tools.
Develop and maintain automation and workflows for system provisioning, access management, and cross-platform data synchronization.
Use APIs, scripting, and automation tools to connect systems and streamline operational processes.
Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and IT teams to implement identity, access, and security-related integrations.
Research, evaluate, and implement integration solutions for technical and operational challenges.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the reliability of integrations across connected systems.
Work with third-party vendors and platform providers to configure and support integrations.
Create and maintain documentation for integration architecture, workflows, and system dependencies.
Contribute to improvements in system architecture, automation, and operational efficiency across the technology stack.
