About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking an IT Systems Engineer I to support computer, server, network, and Microsoft systems, as well as investigate and resolve help desk service requests. The role calls for knowledge of desktop and server Windows environments, virtualization, networking, and Microsoft workplace tools. Experience in a manufacturing environment is also noted.

Requirements

• IT knowledge of computers, laptops, tablets, servers, mobile units, and virtual machine environments.
• Knowledge of networks, including network switches, TCP/IP, and packet capture software.
• Knowledge of VMware and Microsoft Server environments.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM and Active Directory.
• Experience supporting O365, including Outlook and MS Teams.
• Experience investigating and resolving help desk service requests and using help desk software.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of VLAN concepts and configuration.
• Understanding of PowerShell commands.
• Familiarity with wireless technologies such as Aruba, Aerohive, and Cisco.
• Familiarity with traffic capture techniques and software.
• Understanding of DHCP, VLANs, and SSH protocols.
• Windows operating systems literacy for desktop and server systems.
• Strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
• Ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Veeam backup experience.
