About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator provides hands-on support for all production technology services, including manufacturing plants, networks, end-user computing, and service management. This role provides direction to other IT System Administrators and offers Tier 2 Level Support to the Help Desk. The position drives continual improvement to maximize availability, performance, and reliability across the organization, with direct support for operational locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. The role will analyze requirements of complex technologies and technical challenges, working with project stakeholders and third parties to devise effective solutions. This individual will partner with business stakeholders and the application team to develop strategies that support operational goals and objectives. Additionally, the Sr. IT Systems Administrator should maintain a high level of customer service in line with the organization’s expectations. Working with a variety of business stakeholders and customers, this role will serve as a business partner supporting technology solutions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Three+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Three-year IT help desk or IT customer support experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting and software support skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to drive to multiple locations in the northeast (PA, NJ, VA).
  • Prior ERP computer systems, or logistics and manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with a highly diverse environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and at times climb 2-5 flights of stairs.
  • Must be able to be in an on-call rotation with other team members to cover night and weekend issues as they arise.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, attention to details.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of common Help Desk Applications and toolsets.
  • Microsoft Server/Active Directory Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and connectivity problems, including user access and software component configuration.
  • Maintain channels of communication with customers and vendors to facilitate integration using EDI technologies.
  • Document projects and work in conjunction with the SOP team to write user instructions.
  • Administer both functionally and philosophically the needs of the company through systems integration and support.
  • Serve as the first contact for Amtech related helpdesk calls.
  • Assist in application implementations and testing of end-user processes using defined guidelines.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns.
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
  • Attend in-person meetings with management to discuss, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and/or software issues.
  • Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.
  • Actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
  • Work to corporate service level agreements.
  • Provide direction to IT System Administrators.
  • Provide Tier 2 Level Support to the Help Desk.
  • Drive continual improvement to maximize availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Analyze requirements of complex technologies and technical challenges.
  • Devise effective solutions working with project stakeholders and third parties.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and the application team to develop strategies.

  • Schedule, manage, and perform tasks within the scope of accountability based on established priorities but within resource constraints.

  • Communicate openly and directly with the IT Manager regarding ongoing and upcoming activities.
