About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable IT Specialist to support the technology needs of our Head Start program. This role is essential in ensuring that staff, classrooms, and administrative systems operate smoothly to support high-quality services for children and families. Employment-Related Requirements Employment is contingent upon enrollment in State of Oregon Central Background Registry.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience providing IT support in a professional setting (experience in education or nonprofit settings preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and common operating systems
  • Familiarity with network systems, troubleshooting, and device management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information in a clear, supportive manner
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with early childhood data systems (e.g., child assessment or case management software)
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements in programs serving children and families

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Maintain and monitor computers, printers, tablets, and other devices across program sites
  • Support data systems, including child assessment platforms and program databases
  • Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with program policies and regulations
  • Assist with technology setup for classrooms and offices
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors as needed
  • Provide basic training and guidance to staff on technology use
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements
