About The Position

As a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator, you will support and enhance our IT environment. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of infrastructure, cloud systems, security controls, and enterprise applications. As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in maintaining operational stability, strengthening cybersecurity, and supporting strategic IT initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5+ years of experience in systems administration in a hybrid Microsoft environment.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience with automation, scripting (PowerShell preferred), and modern IT management tools.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain, monitor, and optimize on-premises Microsoft servers and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Support networking components including firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
Implement and enforce cybersecurity controls including antivirus/malware protection, multi-factor authentication (MFA), identity access management, and vulnerability monitoring.
Administer Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and cloud-managed endpoint systems, including user provisioning and device compliance.
Deploy and manage operating systems, business applications, patches, and updates using tools such as Microsoft Intune, Datto, and scripting/automation tools.
Identify and automate repetitive system administration tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
Manage and support the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
Support infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and technology refresh initiatives, including documentation and implementation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, licensing, support, and SLA management, ensuring timely issue resolution and evaluation of third-party tools.
