About The Position

As an IT Systems Administrator at Miovision, you are the backbone of our internal technology operations, keeping our team moving forward without delays. You will co-own the IT Service Desk, delivering high-touch, on-site support at our Kitchener headquarters and giving a green light to remote team members worldwide. In this role, you will clear the digital gridlock by balancing hands-on hardware troubleshooting with the administration of our cloud-first identity and productivity suites. Requirements

  • Prior experience in an IT Service Desk capacity, providing high-touch, on-site, and remote support to a global employee base.
  • Proven experience with laptop deployment and device management is required.
  • A proven track record of managing and optimizing desktop infrastructure, with the ability to confidently configure and debug across Windows, macOS, and Linux ecosystems.
  • Experience building or maintaining identity access workflows and directory services using Okta (or equivalent IAM tools), Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and directory services (Active Directory/Azure AD).
  • Solid understanding of security administration and enterprise network administration, alongside working knowledge of automated identity workflows and zero-trust security models.
  • Familiarity utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence to document processes, track inventory, and manage projects.
  • Core aptitude for the service desk.
  • Curiosity to solve problems and motivation to help others overcome technology roadblocks.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with a calm, grounded demeanor.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with a genuine desire to provide elite customer service to employees in need.
  • Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to independently juggle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, managing and delegating the ticketing system (JIRA Service Management) to ensure uptime and business efficiency.
  • Build and support Miovision’s identity strategy through daily administration of Okta, Active Directory (AD) Azure AD, Jamf and InTune.
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including workstation deployment, account activation, and hardware recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Windows Desktop/Server, macOS, and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
  • Provision and maintain on-premise servers and manage enterprise-distributed applications, including antivirus and endpoint management tools like Jamf and InTune.
  • Manage IT procurement, inventory tracking, and vendor relationships for workstations, server components, and peripherals.
  • Support A/V requirements for major corporate events and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to support critical business operations as needed.
