About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, administering network devices, implementing security measures, managing virtualization and cloud environments, establishing backup and disaster recovery plans, providing user support and training, administering Active Directory, implementing monitoring systems, and maintaining documentation and reporting. Requirements

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
  • Administer network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Implement and maintain security measures (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus solutions)
  • Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Manage cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Establish and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
  • Provide technical support to end-users

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Administer network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems. This includes firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to optimize resource utilization and scalability.
  • Establish and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Conduct training sessions to empower users with essential IT knowledge.
  • Administer user accounts, groups, and access control policies in Active Directory. Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place.
  • Implement automated monitoring systems to proactively identify and address potential issues. Respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate regular reports on system performance and security status.
