About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s servers, workstations, Microsoft 365 environment, network infrastructure, business applications, and related technology systems. This position helps ensure company systems remain secure, reliable, available, and aligned with business needs across corporate offices and multiple operating locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. This role works closely with the IT Manager and other IT team members to support infrastructure, resolve escalated issues, maintain documentation, and assist with ongoing technology improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an IT support, systems administration, network administration, or similar technical role preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization, networking, and endpoint support preferred.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, backup systems, retail technology, POS systems, or petroleum/convenience store systems is a plus.
  • Technical certifications, college coursework, or formal IT training are beneficial but not required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and hands-on experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Assist users with technology issues by participating in the monitoring of the company ticketing system.
  • Support physical and virtual server environments, storage systems, workstations, printers, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity, wireless systems, POS-related technology, security cameras, and other technology solutions across company locations.
  • Manage patching, updates, firmware upgrades, and system maintenance for servers, workstations, and business-critical applications.
  • Perform and validate system backups and assist with disaster recovery testing.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
  • Deploy and configure workstations, servers, and infrastructure components.
  • Assist with cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance practices to protect company systems and data.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, hardware, licensing, and support processes.
  • Escalate risks, vulnerabilities, outages, and recurring issues to IT leadership.
  • Participate in the rotating emergency on-call schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
