About The Position

Performs a full range of technical duties related to the design, implementation and managing of Iron County's Information Technology Systems, along with related resources and technologies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (minimum) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and at least two (2) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License and compliance with Iron County's vehicle/driving policy.
  • Knowledge of advanced Information Technology principles and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, internet browsers, computers and word processing.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of personal computer software and hardware configurations/capabilities.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, and management of Iron County's Information Technology Systems.
  • Manage related resources and technologies.
  • Attend training when needed or scheduled.
  • Be available to work occasional, extended hours and/or weekends (as needed) to maintain computer operations or address emergencies.
  • Pass a criminal background check and be able to obtain NCIC criminal background clearance.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance with Iron County drug and alcohol policies and guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage stress and meet deadlines.
  • Exercise initiative, independent judgment and resourcefulness in varying conditions.
  • Analyze a variety of personal computer issues and problems.
