About The Position

Twin Rivers Paper Company is a leader in the production of specialty papers. We are pleased to announce that our Madawaska Operation is seeking a committed individual to join our team as a full-time IT System Administrator. The primary job responsibilities will be to support, maintain, and improve our organization’s technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing servers, networks, user accounts, hardware, software, security systems, and day-to-day technical support needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, security-minded, and able to troubleshoot issues efficiently while supporting business operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support
  • Experience with: Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
  • Active Directory / Azure AD
  • Microsoft 365
  • VMware or Hyper-V
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs)
  • Backup and recovery systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team

Responsibilities

  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support services to achieve targeted service levels
  • Administer and maintain Windows servers, virtual environment, and other related IT systems.
  • Manage endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices
  • Manage user access/permissions for Active Directory, Microsoft 365, group policies and on-premises systems
  • Lead the plan and execution of system updates, patch management and vulnerability remediation
  • Monitor network performance, system availability, system backups, disaster recovery prep and security alerts.
  • Maintain cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, data protection, and system hardening.
  • Support firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless networks, and other network infrastructure.
  • Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, equipment rollouts, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware configuration, software licenses, and IT assets.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives and compliance requirements
  • Participate in after-hours support or on-call rotation as necessary
