About The Position

General Dynamics is the world's foremost designer and builder of nuclear submarines. We are a team of like-minded people pushing the boundaries of state of the art applications for submarine design, manufacturing and construction. The IT Supply Chain Oracle System Engineer group has openings for highly motivated system engineers to support Electric Boat’s customization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application suite. ERP is the vehicle for integrating people, processes and technologies across a digital supply chain ecosystem. These applications will reduce program cost and prepare the company to face the challenges and opportunities of a modernized digital enterprise. Our team members must have strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences. You will grow your skills, work with the cutting edge technologies and introduce new tools and techniques to the team. There are plenty of opportunities for leadership growth as well.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems
5+ years of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program experience
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
Analytical individual who possesses an eagerness to learn and is not afraid to ask questions and challenge current processes, ideas, and systems
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite and the Oracle patching processes
Excellent problem solving skills
Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment
Ability to multitask and still stay focused on release priorities
Experience with GIT, SQL Developer, Jira, Confluence, Visio

Advanced SQL experience
Product owner experience within an agile organization

Support Electric Boat’s customization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application suite.
