System Engineer (IT/Cloud)

Our team is looking for you, a System Engineer with a solid Information Technology and Cloud background. Strong collaboration skills are required to provide guidance and support to senior level government directors enabling ground enterprise solutions in the IC and DoD. This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on acquisition and operations of a complex mission system and supporting IT infrastructure. The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the system's life cycle including CONOPS development, capturing requirements, working with developers to deliver capability, testing to ensure capabilities meet requirements, transitioning to operations and operations support. The program also supports innovations/technology development, provides acquisition and project management support to government program managers and IT information assurance security support. The selected candidate will have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices. The candidate will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle. Candidate will interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of customer/mission partner requirements and work directly with our developers and users in operations Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) Proficiency in cloud services (compute, storage, networking, databases, etc.) Experience with tools for monitoring and managing IT systems Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab) Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Elastic Stack) Ability to assist in preparation of presentations and reports Ability to manage, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructures. Candidate will be required to sign and adhere to Non-Disclosure Agreement(s) and (2) Confidential Agreement and Conflict of Interest Certification

Requirements

  • Requires a technical degree: 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD
  • Possess and maintian aTS/SCI with Poly
  • Intelligence Community experience and work history
  • Works with the Team leads, program managers and acquisition professionals to validate that acquisition strategy will support a technically feasible outcome that meets the customer's needs
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, IT systems management, or a related field
  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including hands-on experience with cloud migrations
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or CISSP
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, IT security best practices, and database management
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps technologies like Jenkins, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to engage and lead efforts to solve IT technical issues
  • Strong project management skills and ability to concisely brief project status to senior leadership
  • Apply Agile principles to management of a government/contractor software development team working disparate projects
  • Expected to create/brief packages which include technical requirements, implementation plan, risks and success criteria
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead/monitor several projects simultaneously
