About The Position

Base is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and technically minded individual to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring employees receive the necessary technical support to perform their daily tasks effectively. As the initial point of contact for technical issues, the IT Support person will professionally and patiently assist colleagues in resolving hardware, software, and system-related problems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, escalating issues when necessary, and ensuring users feel supported and confident. The position also offers opportunities for close collaboration with various teams across Base and potential for advancement within the company due to its fast-moving nature.

Requirements

  • Curiosity for technology and desire to grow your technical skills
  • Exceptional soft skills and ability to work with employees at every level
  • Software administration knowledge for our tech stack (Google/Slack/Zoom/Rippling/Microsoft)
  • Technical troubleshooting knowledge for both Windows and Mac devices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to write technical documentation
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for every employee
  • Knowledge of networking and security best practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level technical support for both hardware and software (Mac and Windows) via email, chat and over the phone
  • Onboarding/offboarding employees (hardware and software)
  • Assist in documentation for IT policies/procedures
  • On-going software administration and support
  • Manage the inventory of IT assets and maintain an organized space
  • Ensure our meeting/conference rooms are maintained and available at all times
