The University of Virginia School of Law is seeking a highly motivated part-time Service Desk Technician to work primarily in the evenings with the Law IT service desk who has excellent customer services skills and a passion for helping others. This person will help the Law IT team with supporting technology in classrooms, seminar rooms, and event spaces within the Law School. This person will also help support the faculty, staff, students and guests of the Law School with computer and software related issues. Provide clear documentation of issues and resolutions into a help desk ticketing system. Shifts will be offered to potential candidates to help the Law IT service desk extend support hours from 4pm-8pm Monday-Friday at the UVA School of Law. A minimum of 12 hours per week commitment is required for this position. There is a maximum limit of 20 hours per week as set by the UVA Student Wage Employment when classes are in session (20 hours total of all assigned student worker positions if working multiple work study assignments in all university jobs combined). The employment period will span the 2026 Fall Semester and eligible for renewal during the 2027 Spring semester. This position is restricted to non-UVA law school students.
